Over the years I have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples and families from diverse backgrounds with a variety of concerns. My therapeutic approach is somewhat eclectic as I tailor therapy to fit the needs of each individual client. I understand that each client is unique and attend to this need by using a combination of therapeutic models rather than following any specific model rigidly.
Much of my work is informed by Attachment Theory . The therapeutic models in which I work are Narrative Therapy and Trauma Informed Therapy. My personal philosophy is guided by the works of Virginia Satir, John Gottman, Daniel Siegal and Emily Nagoski.
I received my Masters of Marriage and Family therapy from the University of Winnipeg and my Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba. I am a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist with the Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy. I have my CCC (Canadian Certified Counsellor) designation with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I am also a certified facilitator for the Circle of Security International.
